5 Ignored Cars Of India in 2019

India's automobile industry is expected to be 3rd largest automobile industry. Manufacturers are putting their steps in the country. Still there are many sales deserving cars, but no one bothers to buy them. Let's talk about 5 ignored cars in India.

 5. Ford Figo -  Launched in March 2010, It was a great success for Ford India. But when Ford launched second-gen Figo 2015-2019, sales declined.
Well, the reason is unknown why sales declined. Now in 2019 Ford Launched Figo Facelift. In starting the sales graph was rising but eventually started declining to only 13 models sold in January 2020.
Figo is known as one of the best drivers' car. Still people choose Maruti Suzuki swift then Figo. Figo's 1.5ti-vct motor was a gem (now discontinued).
4. Skoda Octavia-  When Octavia was launched in 2002 it was a massive hit in the Indian market. Its turbocharged direct injection (TDI) delivered a high level of fuel economy, power and torque as per the Indian market of that time. Time passed and now in 2019 this car became of the most ignored car ever.
Because of so-called SUVS of 15-20 lakhs segment ( Octavia's segment ) grabbed all the sales of this beast. Well, one more reason for the low sales figure is the high price as well. Fully loaded L&k variant costs more than 25lakhs INR.
In the picture above we can that Octavia's diesel is the most powerful in the segment and Octavia is biggest (in terms of length, width and wheelbase) in the segment as well most expensive.

3. Honda Jazz- Honda jazz launched in 2009 was never a big player. Few reasons such as the demand for diesel hatches in 2009 was increasing. Though jazz ( when launched) was ahead of its time, like magic seats and ample of space which put few sedans on shame.
When most of its rivals were getting next-gen models, Honda also brought one in 2015.
It was a new avatar, and it can be clearly seen that its design is inspired by Honda's legendary ( of Indian market) City. Now 1.5 idtec diesel motor was also available with jazz was doing its job in Honda City. Even after this update, jazz was not selling as expectations.

2. Tata Hexa- This car one of my personal favorite cars. Tata launched Hexa in January 2017. This car was built like TANK as of other Tata cars. It used to come with 4 variants XE, XM, XT, XT 4X4. XE variant came with a low spec engine producing 320nm torque and 150ps of power whereas upper variants used to come with a more powerful engine producing 400nm torque and 156ps of power.
The design was subjective. This car was awesome on space and comfort and driving was also good. One thing, refinement was not there at all, maybe it was Tata that's why. There was no competition for this car as of its pricing was pretty aggressive. Unfortunately it is discontinued now in India because of BS6 emissions norms. There are few rumors that Hexa will come back again but there is no official news from Tata Motors.
1. Mahindra Alturas G4- On 24 November 2018, M&M launched a rebadged version of second-gen Rexton.
Design-wise this car is good, looks more of a mafia car. In both aspects of Performance and features, this car turns out to be good than its rivals. Even pricing is also fine for the segment. It comes with a 2.2 L engine producing 178.4 bhp and 420nm torque. Alloy wheels look like stolen from pre facelifted Tata Nexon. Alturas G4 is the most ignored car by buyers of that segment. Most of the people buy Toyota Fortuner which lacks many features for that price, whereas Alturas will never make you feel that your car has fewer features for the heavy price you paid.

That's all for this blog, please comment on any mistakes.
