5 reasons why Tiago is best

In one of my old blogs, I wrote about my bitter experience with Tata Tiago if you want to read that article click here. Many people were saying I don't have much knowledge, why I purchased AMT car if I cant live with its characteristic. Those were the comments by people who didn't bother to read it fully. As I mentioned AMT gearbox used is of the lowest category. Now few people who think they are gyaani will say Magenta Marelli gearbox is used, Aree bhai there are categories as well. For example I will say I brought an Audi. Audi brand name is enough to judge but sometimes you have to judge by seeing the end product too. My Audi can be entry-level Audi A3 or it can be Audi A8L. So before commenting please do a full research. Same magnets Marelli is used in Mahindra XUV 300 and you can definitely feel the difference. I told my personal experience with this car. And even a few people were saying I am paid. First of all, I am not that much popular that companies will pay me. By the way lets leave those people who think they are over-smart and let's continue to our main topic.

Tata Tiago is an entry-level hatchback from Tata Motors. Tiago has achieved a special place in people's hearts. Based on Tata's platform X1 the same chassis as of older tata cars but with heavy modifications. In this article I will be telling you about 5 reasons why Tiago is the best car to buy in the segment.

1.Safety

As per seeing the number of accidents increasing day by day people need a safe car to travel in. Many people say that safety depends on driving well you can't predict there are infinite ways your car could end up and so can you. Seeing this thing, Tata made Tiago very strong. It scored 4 Stars in Global Ncap whereas none of its competitor cars are near it. Safety features such as dual airbags, ABS, EBD, Follow Me Home Headlamps, Rear Camera, Anti-Theft Device, Speed Alert, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, Corner stability control, etc

2. Excellent Music system

Everyone loves driving around with good music which makes them enjoy their driving. But what if your car's music system is not up to the mark? Well, that's not the case with Tata Tiago. Tata has offered 4speakers and 4 tweeters sound system from Harman Kardon, the same brand which comes in Mercedes and BMWs
System will easily go near full volume with any audio quality issues though you would never need to turn full volume. Bass is perfect. You will easily feel the base in your body.

3.Interiors

Everyone loves to be in a very comfortable and good looking place. Tiago is there for you my buddy
This interior seems to be awesome looking. The flat-bottom steering wheel is icing over the cake. All digital instrument cluster is adorable. The same cluster can be seen in Tigor and Nexon.

3. Space

Tata knows we Indians love more storage spaces. Tiago got many practical storage spaces. 22 to be precise

4. High-speed stability

In my last post as I said I can't comment on high-speed stability as we never took it to. But now we did one of our friend's Tiago. Believe me guys this car feels very confident at high speed such as over 130kmph where most of its competitors can't touch this speed if they don't have a 'khatron Ke Khiladi' driver.
Thanks to the chassis.

5.Price

As we all know Tata is known for its value for money products, here also the game is the same. Tiago stars with a price tag of 4.6lakhs INR to 6.6lakhsINR. Features you are getting such as touch-screen, auto-folding wing mirrors, automatic air conditioner etc worth for this price. The most important thing is the safety of your loved ones. No car in its segment is above 2-Stars of global NCAP whereas Tiago scored 4-stars which is as same as of premium hatchback Volkswagen Polo.

Thanks everyone for reading my article. Let the haters it me.

Why Nexon is the Best Compact SUV

Tata Nexon is a very famous car throughout the country. It is the first INDIAN car to score 5 Stars in GLOBAL NCAP.  When Nexon was launched in back 2017 it was the most refined car of Tata Motors. It was the best car to buy in that segment, thanks to aggressive pricing. Top of the line variant XZ+ was available at 10.5lakhs INR on-road Mumbai. All the features needed were present wheater you talk about push start-stop, voice commands or a cooled glove box! This car was best in all terms. But looks were subjective. Few buyers were rejecting Nexon because of that EGG look. Tata Motors even launched an aggressive-looking facelift last month to give this car more sales In this article we will be talking about 7 reasons why Tata Nexon is the best choice of the buyers of the compact SUV segment.

1. Price-

Nexon base model costs- 6.95lakhs INR whereas segment creator ecosport base variant costs 8.54 lakhs. We can see the difference here only. If we talk about xuv 300 and brezza, their costs are 8.3lakhs INR and 7.34INR respectively. It clear that Nexon's base is the cheapest one to buy. Even decently loaded XZ variant costs 8.7lakhs ex-showroom (petrol variant) and 10.2lakhs ex-showroom (diesel variant).

2. Ground Clearance-

Most of the people are shifting towards compact SUVs because of their ability of semi-offroading or city offroading like passing out some big stones or huge speed bumps without scraping out underbody. Tata is offering the highest ground clearance of 209mm whereas Ford ecosport, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra xuv300 and MS Brezza got 200mm, 190mm, 200mm and 198mm respectively. Hence Tata Nexon is the compact SUV with the highest ground clearance.

3. Posh Interior

Sitting in Nexon will definitely give you a luxury feel. Posh interior is the best interior in the segment. Sporty steering wheel with flat bottom is the icing of the cake. All digital Instrument Cluster gives a segment above feel.

4. Audio System

It's always fun listening to music and driving your car. To fulfill that joy to the fullest Nexon is offered with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters sound system from Harman Kardon. Same Harman Kardon is available in many high-end cars such as Mercedes Benz CLA 200, BMW 5 Series, etc. The sound quality is of many segments above. It gives a complete surround sound experience.

5.Space

As most of the Tata cars are known for space, Nexon too. It can easily fit 5adults in the car without any issue. No one will face any kind of comfort issues. 360 liters of boot space is impressive as well. It can easily store your weekend outing luggage. Rear states are couches like states with armrest too.

In this car, you will get a lot of space to keep your stuff. Wheater it is your sunglasses, tickets, water bottles or your laptop. In monsoon season we need to carry an umbrella with us but in most of the budget cars there is no space to keep it, hey this Nexon kicked in yoo, you get an umbrella holder too on the front doors. A lot of space is available. You can easily keep a 1L bottle and a small 500ml bottle in bottle holders.  lot of space in armrest too. Glovebox is of decent size with a cooling feature that will keep your drinks fresh.

6. Design

From the launch, Nexon is a head turner car. Nexon looks like a very different car. Design feels very young. A non-car guy will get confused between Nexon and Range Rover at the very first glance.

7.Punchy Petrol Engine

Nexon facelift is available with a more power-producing petrol engine. This petrol engine is as same powerful as of Kia Seltos petrol engine. This engine now produces 120ps@5500RPM and 170nm of torque@1750-4000RPM. This engine drives flawlessly. Just take a Test drive and you will understand what I am saying.

These were the 7 reasons why Tata Nexon is the best choice for compact SUV buyers.
I hope you liked it. If you read till here please comment and let me know

Honda City- The legendary Car!

Honda City! I think every person is aware of it. It's been more than 22 years and Honda city is still pulling and pulling its vtec engine. In 1995 when Japan Automobile Giant Honda entered India with joint-venture of Usha Internation Ltd. (UIL). After 16 years, Honda Motors co. bought 3.61% of the stake of UIL, which was in August 2012. The company is called Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL). The first-ever city was born in newly built Greater Noida in early 1998. A mid-size sedan that didn't only become 'The Most Popular Honda' in-country, it is still in production after 22 years of launch.

First Generation City 1998-2003

First-gen city was out on sale from 1998-2003. It was available with 2 engines1.3L and 1.5L, no diesel unit was available. In 2000 Honda launched Legendary Vtec engine producing whopping 106bhp. This much power is still cant be seen in many cars in India in today's date, think about that time. It was incredibly popular among youths and car geeks. People even in 2020 is mad for this beast. This particular city can be seen in many local rallies around the country. Honda sold 59,378 units of this generation city.

Second Gen City 2003-2008

This one was also famous as "Dolphin wali city". In 2003, Honda gave the city a comfortable, and more mileage giving facelift. The company introduced a new engine with this facelift, i-DSI ( intelligent Dual and Sequational Ignition). Power was reduced to 77bhp and car enthusiasts started a protest (just kidding). Though it was the biggest disappointment from the car enthusiasts' point of view on the same hand, from the company's perspective its product was economical and refined. In 2005, the company launched a v-TEC engine and named it City ZX with new taillights
This generation also saw a CVT variant ( continuous variable transmission). First in any car of India. Even in 2007 a 10th-anniversary edition was launched with ABS. This car was ahead of its time. Honda sold overall.

1,77,42 units of this generation.

Third Generation of City 2008-2014

As always Honda does, 3rd generation city came with an all-new look. It came with abs and airbags standard. This time Honda increased the power. The same vtec engine was now producing 117bhp. This was an overall good package with superb power, space, comfort, efficient and adorable looks.

This generation got a mid-life facelift offering segment-first Sunroof and an AVN system (Audio Video Navigation). Honda sold more than 1,92,939 models of this generation.

Fourth-generation city 2014-2020

As the city was among the first of Indian Buyers, it was losing some sales because of the absence of diesel motor. 2014, again Honda launched the new generation of its legendary car. Diesel motor was launched. This time to looks was absolutely different. The city even got a new CVT gearbox which was more efficient than the manual variant. Though fun is in manual Vtec only. In 2016, the Isofix child seat was also added.

While in 2017, City got a mid-life facelift with new drls as standard and new alloys, new model, 6 airbags and a 20th-anniversary edition.
This looks more aggressive than its predecessor. But City this time was getting outdated. Honda was busy with other cars in the last 2 years, but the company can't ignore its iconic car. In keeping context to that Honda will launch the 5th generation of City.

Fifth-generation of city 2020- unknown

Its the time for the launch of the 5th generation of the city in the country but due to novel coronavirus it has been delayed. It will be priced between 9lakhs to 14 lakhs ex-showroom price.

Only 3 variants will be offered v, vx and zx. It will come with the same 1.5l vtec and idtec motor whereas 121bhp for vtec and 100bhp for idtec engine. Diesel CVT variant will also launch. As per the leaked brochure, it will get a sunroof, 8-inch infotainment system, semi-digital cluster and many more segment-first features such as lane watch, Alex control etc. It is expected to be 'dhamaka' in the market.

This was the history of the legendary car The Honda City.

I hope you liked it, if you read till here please comment and let me know.

Tata Tiago Automatic - The Untold Truth Personal Experience And Ownership Review

Nowadays everyone is praising Indian car manufacturer Tata Motors for their good, value for money cars. I totally agree with them and I do support Tata motors, but not blindly. I brought Tata Tiago on 11th February 2019 and sold it on 25th October 2019. Want to know the reason? Read this post till the end! I will cover the pros and cons as well.

As an Indian buyer usually do, I also went to youtube for search. I found Tiago XZA (automatic version ) appealing. Without spending any time, me and my dad went to Tata Dealership. We booked a grey color Tiago XZA nov-18 model as we were getting a 50k discount also. Ok before you will go and comment that " you are a car enthusiast you should be knowing that amts are bad " Me and my dad took a test drive of Tiago XZA and found no issues at all! It was running pretty good considering its price. After the test drive, we continued further procedure and paid a final amount of  6.52 lakhs INR. We were happy, one new member in our garage. Mr. Yuvraj Singh Paygude, CRM of Bafna motors, Tathawade, Pune was very helpful to us. Thanks sir for your support.
That happiness of a new car was on our mind for more than a month as it is common for every Indian buyer. They neglect any issues in new cars as they got one thing in their mind fitter "its a new car, so no issues." Two months gone, even Tiago didn't give many issues to us. But one day on an incline what we noticed our car was going back despite being automatic it was going back. Maybe we got a taste of good automatics that was the reason for it. But it was not the only issue. Sometimes car was not giving proper throttle response. For eg. in 25% throttle car should only 25% throttle response but it was sometimes giving 0% response and sometimes 100% response. This was the serious one. Took car to Tata Authorised service center for more than 20 times, changed fuel pump, ECU update accelerator pedal position sensor replacement. Nothing worked out. Believe me, I never took that car on freeways/highways. Reason, it was not at all fun to drive. I was afraid what if I am in the middle of overtaking and suddenly there is a power drop...it can be deadly. What I understood that this thing is having a gearbox issue. But wait my friend, this is not the only issue. That 1.2 L engine sucks at driving. I was getting mileage return of 11kmpl. Polo GT TSI gives better fuel economy. Refinement is NOT AT ALL present. Vibration in a car is of another level though vibrations are not there every time. As I already mentioned gearbox is the lowest quality possible. Every time you will jerks. I was wondering why there was not such an issue in Test Drive car? Well, this is still a mystery. After getting frustrated, we finally sold it for 1lakh loss. This was my experience with Tiago. One thing worth mentioning here

Now let us talk about some pros and cons-
Sweet thing first, so Pros are-
1. Segment best audio system- Stock audio system will AMAZE you in its sound quality. 4 speakers and 4 tweeters did a great job in Tiago.
2. Driving comfort - Steering is feather-lite! You will never feel tired. Never took Tiago to high speed so can't comment on high-speed stability.
3. Boot space - Boot space is enough if you want to travel in the city only.
4. Build quality - Build quality is superb. Once a honda city rammed my Tiago in the parking spot, nothing happened just bumper lock got broke.

Now its turn of Cons-
1. AT gearbox- As this whole blog is on account of my personal experience, the automatic gearbox is of the worst quality possible.
2.Space - Rear space is not good. It is fine for two people. Legroom is good, under-thigh support is not at all present, Tall people will face brushing of their hair.
3.Refinement- The petrol engine is not refined. It sounds like a remote control car. Vibrations are around the corner when idle.

These are the pros and cons I felt. I would suggest you instead of taking a demo of the test drive car, see your car and drive it a bit in a safe area.  This is my experience with the Tata Motors flagship car TIAGO. I hope you liked you. Please don't forget to share and comment.

5 Ignored Cars Of India in 2019

India's automobile industry is expected to be 3rd largest automobile industry. Manufacturers are putting their steps in the country. Still there are many sales deserving cars, but no one bothers to buy them. Let's talk about 5 ignored cars in India.

 5. Ford Figo -  Launched in March 2010, It was a great success for Ford India. But when Ford launched second-gen Figo 2015-2019, sales declined.
Well, the reason is unknown why sales declined. Now in 2019 Ford Launched Figo Facelift. In starting the sales graph was rising but eventually started declining to only 13 models sold in January 2020.
Figo is known as one of the best drivers' car. Still people choose Maruti Suzuki swift then Figo. Figo's 1.5ti-vct motor was a gem (now discontinued).
4. Skoda Octavia-  When Octavia was launched in 2002 it was a massive hit in the Indian market. Its turbocharged direct injection (TDI) delivered a high level of fuel economy, power and torque as per the Indian market of that time. Time passed and now in 2019 this car became of the most ignored car ever.
Because of so-called SUVS of 15-20 lakhs segment ( Octavia's segment ) grabbed all the sales of this beast. Well, one more reason for the low sales figure is the high price as well. Fully loaded L&k variant costs more than 25lakhs INR.
In the picture above we can that Octavia's diesel is the most powerful in the segment and Octavia is biggest (in terms of length, width and wheelbase) in the segment as well most expensive.

3. Honda Jazz- Honda jazz launched in 2009 was never a big player. Few reasons such as the demand for diesel hatches in 2009 was increasing. Though jazz ( when launched) was ahead of its time, like magic seats and ample of space which put few sedans on shame.
When most of its rivals were getting next-gen models, Honda also brought one in 2015.
It was a new avatar, and it can be clearly seen that its design is inspired by Honda's legendary ( of Indian market) City. Now 1.5 idtec diesel motor was also available with jazz was doing its job in Honda City. Even after this update, jazz was not selling as expectations.

2. Tata Hexa- This car one of my personal favorite cars. Tata launched Hexa in January 2017. This car was built like TANK as of other Tata cars. It used to come with 4 variants XE, XM, XT, XT 4X4. XE variant came with a low spec engine producing 320nm torque and 150ps of power whereas upper variants used to come with a more powerful engine producing 400nm torque and 156ps of power.
The design was subjective. This car was awesome on space and comfort and driving was also good. One thing, refinement was not there at all, maybe it was Tata that's why. There was no competition for this car as of its pricing was pretty aggressive. Unfortunately it is discontinued now in India because of BS6 emissions norms. There are few rumors that Hexa will come back again but there is no official news from Tata Motors.
1. Mahindra Alturas G4- On 24 November 2018, M&M launched a rebadged version of second-gen Rexton.
Design-wise this car is good, looks more of a mafia car. In both aspects of Performance and features, this car turns out to be good than its rivals. Even pricing is also fine for the segment. It comes with a 2.2 L engine producing 178.4 bhp and 420nm torque. Alloy wheels look like stolen from pre facelifted Tata Nexon. Alturas G4 is the most ignored car by buyers of that segment. Most of the people buy Toyota Fortuner which lacks many features for that price, whereas Alturas will never make you feel that your car has fewer features for the heavy price you paid.

That's all for this blog, please comment on any mistakes.

The Unkown Beast Ford Figo Automatic Ownership Review

The Unknown Beast Ford Figo Automatic is one of the most ignored car ever in Indian Automobile History. If you want to buy a hot hatch everyone looks at Polo GT TSI only. But wait you ignored the most deserving hot hatch which is even discontinued now, reason is Indian Uncles' blind faith on Hyundai and Maruti whereas blind faith of youth car buyer for Polo., the Figo comes with a conventional 6-speed torque converter automatic in a pool of AMTs. The transmission also comes only with the more powerful 1.5-liter petrol engine. The Figo is easily among the most affordable cars in the country to come with a conventional automatic transmission. With 123PS, it is the most powerful option in its segment by a wide margin

She came with 1497 cc 3 cylinder engine producing 121 bhp @ 6500 rpm and 150nm torque @ 4500 rpm

Being an owner of this beast, this car performs better than the number given on papers.

Steering feedback is very good. You will never miss german steering feedback. Car is very stable even at high speed like 160-170, a way lot better than Japanese and Korean rivals. Even seating comfort is also very good. Interior also looks good, thanks to floating display and all-black interior.

But tall people will ask for more. There are few more cons such as no bottle holder at the back seat, and Titanium AT variant is missing curtain airbags and few bells and whistles such as auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers and tyre size is also smaller than top-end variant.
But there are some additional safety features in AT variant such as ESP, HLA and TCS Control.
If we will see the price of Figo automatic and its Rivals-
Figo Titanium AT on-road price - 8.90 lakhs
Swift zxi amt petrol price-8.48 lakhs
Nios sports amt price-8.31lakhs
Considering the cost and features, gearbox and gem engine you were getting was FAB!
Still people ignored it and brought AMTs.
And unfortunately it is discontinued and now we cant buy it.
But wait Ford is planning to launch its bs6 model in mid-2020 but you wont be getting 1.5 engine. That's a stroke of bad luck.
